Sneak Peek Sunday 4

This week's Sneak Peak is from chapter 15 of THE PRINCE CHARMING HOAX.

“Get out. Get the fuck out.” Leah pushed Tom out of her room and slammed the door. She listened to the sound of his boots on the steps as he made his way down the stairs and out the front door. She heard him gun his engine and pull out of her life forever.

Leah leaned her forehead against the door she just slammed and wrapped her arms around herself. She felt like she needed to hold herself together. If she didn’t, her insides were going to fall out. When she couldn’t hold on any longer, she turned and slid down to the floor. She pressed her back against the door, trying to keep the pain out, but she lost the battle. She grabbed one of the throw pillows that had fallen near the door and held it against her chest with her bent knees. Rocking back and forth with her arms wrapped around her knees, Leah cried until she felt there was nothing left inside her.

Shielding her eyes from the sun’s glare, Roxie could make out a big, black pickup approaching fast. The truck stopped short only inches from her, kicking up a cloud of dust and gravel. She caught a glimpse of the workman who had just left behind the wheel. As he got out of the cab, their eyes locked and her heart raced. As he came toward her, she had a momentary flash of him tossing her Boxster in the back of his truck, picking her up, throwing her in the cab, and driving off.

Sneek Peek Sunday 2

Continuing the sneak peek from Chapter 9 of THE PRINCE CHARMING HOAX...

They fell asleep with her snuggled under his arm, her head on his chest. It was pitch black in the room when Leah sat up suddenly, gripped with terror. She wasn’t sure where she was at first, but when her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she saw Jonathan on the bed next to her and relaxed.
He was stirring. “Do you feel all right, Leah? You’ve been tossing around for hours.”
“Hold me Jonathan. Hold me until I fall asleep again.”
He pulled her to him, but this time the snuggling wasn’t enough for Leah. She needed more. She pulled his hand down between her thighs and reached for him.
“Are you sure, Leah?”
Leah was trembling. “Oh yes. I’m sure. I need this now.”

Sneak Peek Sunday

A sneak peek from Chapter 9 of THE PRINCE CHARMING HOAX...

He kissed her again, harder and deeper this time. Leah felt his excitement as he pressed against her. She found it hard to resist Jonathan. He was a handsome, sexy man and a great kisser. They seemed a perfect fit. She didn’t need to stand on her toes to kiss him—as she did with Doug—and their bodies connected in all the right places when they embraced. 

Leah opened her eyes and pulled away. It was difficult to do. “Look, I could stay. But, I’d regret it in the morning, and that might ruin whatever it is we do have. Please Jonathan, take me home.”
